Product Owner

Overview:

FinteqHub is looking for a Product Owner who will play a key role in driving product development and ensuring alignment with user needs and business goals. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Define Sprint Objectives – Set clear sprint objectives aligned with business needs and user requirements, forming the basis for sprint goals.
  • Review and Approve Product Increments – Inspect, validate, and approve development team deliverables at each iteration, from design preparation to production release.
  • Communicate Effectively with Stakeholders – Serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring transparency and alignment on key decisions and strategies.
  • Backlog Management and Refinement – Prioritize, refine, and finalize backlog items with the team before sprint planning.
  • Create and Manage Change Requests – Gather, analyze, and prioritize operational changes, integrating them into the product backlog for future iterations.
  • Define Clear Acceptance Criteria – Establish well-defined acceptance criteria for product features, validate them with stakeholders, and use them as a baseline for QA testing.
  • Maintain and Update Requirements – Adapt requirements dynamically throughout the project lifecycle while ensuring consistency across epics, stories, and technical specifications.
  • Own and Oversee Product Artifacts – Ensure high-quality documentation and management of epics, user stories, use cases, and edge cases.
  • Collaborate with UX, Research, and Analytics Teams – Work closely with design and research teams to analyze user behavior, validate hypotheses, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Conduct Usability Testing – Test and validate user interfaces and interaction points, gathering insights to refine the product roadmap.
  • Break Down and Prioritize Business & Technical Requirements – Identify, assess, and communicate requirements with stakeholders, ensuring effective expectation management.
  • Drive Customer-Centric Product Development – Gain a deep understanding of the customer experience, identify gaps, and generate innovative ideas to enhance internal and external user satisfaction.
  • Define and Test Product Hypotheses – Formulate data-driven hypotheses and systematically validate or refine them through iterative experimentation.
  • Manage API Requirements – Define, document, and test API integrations to ensure seamless interoperability with other services.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner or a similar role in an Agile environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Proven experience in team management and collaboration.
  • Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in writing user stories and managing the product backlog effectively.
  • Knowledge of APIs – ability to define and test API requirements.
  • Familiarity with UX research and usability testing.
  • Ability to analyze customer feedback and improve the product accordingly.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in FinTech or  E-commerce.
  • Knowledge of Data Analytics and A/B Testing.
  • Familiarity with SQL and BI tools.
  • Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps principles.
